ABOUT THE POSITION

The Sales Associate position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with decisions and purchases, stocking and cleaning store. A description of the duties includes:

• Stock merchandise, assists with inventory control and updates, and assists with advertising products setting up displays;
• Responsible for being knowledgeable on products sold; assist and demonstrate to customer;
• Assist with loss prevention and report possible violations to Store Manager;
• Perform customer check out using point of sale system and/or writing tickets;
• Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the work area as qualified;
• Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responding promptly to customer needs (assist customers with heavy and/or large items), resolving questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meeting commitments;
• Present a clean and professional appearance;
• All other duties as directed by the supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer operation skills
• Must be bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and climb a ladder.
